I don't collect wood, but still admire many of the designs.

When I saw this one it was an 'aw, that's a shame' moment.

"Société Industrielle des Téléphones, Paris".

(Last two images of a nicer example for comparison).

The dial conversion doesn't look that recent and I'm sure it could be undone relatively easily.
I'd buy it if the price was right.

Here is the link:

Bid start price approximately USD 242.

Hopefully listing should show up ok via the link (French listing). Unsure if seller offers shipping outside France/EU (price shown is to my abode), but if anyone likes it enough to bid and win I can help with questions/shipping etc.

No bids so did not sell. Relisted at same start price.

The hole in the woodwork (for the dial addition) won't have done anything positive to the value of this phone. Receiver is broken (and appears to be incorrect) and the Bakelite endcap is missing from the écouteur.

At least it isn't one of these:

Again did not sell so seller has relisted with a €210 buy it now and the 'make offer' option.

In my experience, this would have been snapped up by a French collector. Maybe an example of how the dial addition has devalued this both in monitory terms and desirability. The last one of these I saw for sale (a couple of months ago) in original condition, sold for €250.
