302 dial pulsing loudly

I reassembled my 1939 302 after cleaning it up and replacing the missing network and condenser. I left it's case looking 'well used' and didn't repaint it.  The thing is now when it is dialed, the dial pulses very loudly in the receiver as the finger wheel returns.  Very loudly.  It seems to break dial tone and dial properly...it's just very loud.

Any suggestions on what to check?  It looks wired up properly to me as compared directly to another 302.

Jeff,

It sounds like the dial is not wired correctly or contact springs are bent.  The WE dials are supposed to disconnect the receiver (white wire) while dialing.

Thanks Larry, I'll take a look at that

Somehow I overlooked that I had two wires swapped on the dial contacts.  All is fixed now..thanks!  One of them was the white wire.
