I found this line cord on a WE500 set.
It's marked as follows...

Hadn't that type strain relief been out of service for awhile, or was it used on the newer 302's as well as 500's ?

It is a dual purpose hook.  In 1959 I'd imagine the 5302 was still being outfitted with new cords, perhaps the 302's as well.  And of course the common strain relief hook for the model 500's.

I've seen that type of strain relief on many 5302's.  The dates of all the ones I've seen that had that style cord were between 1959-63.
