No description, no extra images, nothing else, just "Thingy" in used condition for $100 plus $12.65 shipping in a 7 day auction.

It's also apparently 'not availabe'.

Us phone guys must be the only ones who looked at the "Thingy".....

Where it says "People who viewed this item also viewed", all there are is pictures of old phones auctions!

You know, John. You would use it for the same purposes as a Whatsit, Hoodiggy, Thingamajig, Thinggummy, etc! I must say, it looks like a nice one. Looks to be in NOS condition.  Its going to be a bidding war!

Closest I've come to a similar device is a Thingy Instant Sand Chair but they are only $125 for 10 of them (or $19.50 for one), plus shipping. This listed item has no dimensions or relative object to determine it's size. Can't wait to see the snipes on this one . . .  8)

Strange of the seller to put this into the Pre-1940 telephone section of eBay.

It's a piece of art  ;D

Some sucker will buy it  !  ::)
Never met a phone I didn't like !

 ART!

That is Great news for us Canadians since the item is in California I wont have to pay Duty when it is shipped from there to Canada. That means I can budget even more $ for my snipe.

Good luck everyone!

I think I figured out what it is!  It is a Bat-a-rang which is Batman's version of the boom-a-rang.  My thanks to Bill for giving me the clue as to what it is.

No, not worth that much but as us advanced THINGY collectors know the THING-A-MA-GIG does sell for that and even more.

Yes, and the listed Thingy seems to be a "prototype" probably worth more than the updated version used in the 1989 Batman movie . . .    if that's what it is.

Whatever it was/is, it didn't sell, or should I say, the person who would have purchased it did not see the listing.

andre_janew

Either that or they saw it and didn't think it was worth $100!
