In looking back at the beginning of this thread I think everyone that nominated a phone to be part of the Find of the Month did post a photo and/or a link.  Or am I missing that.

Perhaps as suggested by Terry, when nominating a phone for Find of the Month just continue to post a photo and the link to the finder's topic.  Since the original posts are in various Boards.....(Flea Market Finds, Auction Talk, Collector's Corner", etc.)

Thanks to Jim S for all the extra work of looking up each one and re-posting them.
Not all the links were there.
I will monitor the board and "prompt" for additional info on the finds.
Finder, Links, Prices (& delivery if any), Photos, Personal cool points about the find. ect

If most of the info gets provided it is a minor task to assemble it
--------------------------------------------------

I didn't mean to run the  poll as a seperate thread, Jim

Can only phones be nominated? Or, things like Doug's (Kidphone) pristine hubcap sign?

Chuck

Yes, The sign is elgible if itn was a January 2011 find. The current window ended.
I will squeeze it in if you can provide the pertinent info.
Was it acquired in January 2011? How much $  ?
Once Iget the info I will trey to modify the poll.

I remember this.
Doug, Why wasn't this mentioned for find of the month?
Do you have something nicer to nominate.  This time frame should really be closed.

I'd like to nominate Sargeguy's outstanding manual B1 as the find of the month. It sure is a beauty....Doug
Sargeguy says he paid high $100.00. Paying high is just spending more than you wanted to that day.

This is a very nice phone and a bargin at $100.00.

OKAY! Here's a summary of the "Finds of the Month for January 2011"

"wkostelic" found this Pink Princess burried under a bunch of other junk in a box at an auction. He got the whole box for $2.50. It is in the "Find of the Month - 2011" thread at the top of page 1.

"Dan" snagged this PINK 5302 on an ebaY Buy it Now for $50! Dan asked: I picked this up on ebay and I have never had a colored 5302 but the price was right. From the looks of this picture, does this look legit? Also it looks like he mentioned it has 5302 on the bottom.

Read about his find in this thread:

"stopthemachine" got a gray 500 on ebaY for $33 this month. Here's what he had to say:

Man, that is truly incredible--I just won a GRAY 500 set with AT&T markings for just $33.  The guts are Western Electric--the plastics seems almost untouched over the years!  I know it's not a 50's gray set, but I did OK.

See his post on Page 1 of the "Find of the Month - 2011" thread.

"Dave F" snagged this gray 702B Princess on ebaY for $49.99. Dave was heard to say "A tough phone to find, and no other bidders.  Housing needs some TLC, but what the heck, it's GRAY!  Yippee!"

See his post on Page 1 of the "Find of the Month - 2011" thread.

Here's the B1 Deskstand that "Sargeguy" grabbed for $100. Read about it in this thread:
http://www.classicrotaryphones.com/forum/index.php?topic=4213.msg54704#msg54704

Sargent "Sargeguy" says: Bought a manual B-1 with matching dates from 1-30.  This thing is in awesome condition except for the base.  It's going into the permanent collection.  I am not going to put a dial on it or replace the transmitter.

"Jim S." nominated his "Factory Custom" SC 1543. He paid less than $40.00 BIN delivered.

This phone has a silver basecoat with a gold topcoat. The dial was custom painted. and the plungers are clear

I feel this is a factory set because of the basecoat/topcoat paint job, and  the clear plungers.

The clear plungers were worth the $40.00 to me. I wanted  them for spare parts. I also like unusual "finishes".

You can read the full discussion in the "Find of the Month - 2011" thread near the bottom of Page 1.
