Post your "Find of the Month" here.

A "Find of the Month" is a telephone or a related item that you acquired during the month that you are particularly excited about either because of its rarity, the difficulty you had in trying to find it for your collection or the exceptional "deal" that you got on it.

The "Find of the Month" contest is focused on the collection of telephones rather than on their sale for a profit. To be eligible for the "Find of the Month" contest:

- The finder must have personally acquired and actually own the item.
- The item can be acquired for free but it can not be a gift or present from anyone.
- The item (or any of its components) cannot be put up for sale during the contest period.
- Only one "Find" per owner can be in a "Find of the Month" contest.

A Nomination Should Include:

1) where and/or how the item was found.
2) the price & shipping cost.
3) the forum link to the topic discussing the find.
4) the eBay link if won there.
5) and other information of importance about the find.
6) one or two pictures of the item.

Ideally your item would be posted in its own thread elsewhere on the forum such as "Auction Talk", "Flea Market/Yard Sale Finds" or "Collectors Corner" Board. Then you or anyone else can nominate your "Find" to the Current "Find of the Month" thread by posting at least one picture and other details including the price paid, any shipping costs and a link to the original discussion on the forum. It is not a requirement that your find be posted elsewhere on the forum but the more details the better.

Nominations of phones listed in other forum discussion topics, by members that do not own the item but realize it is indeed a "find" worthy of being nominated as a "Find of the Month" candidate, are always welcome.

Please pick your best "Find" to submit for the month limiting your entry to one phone or one "Find" that might include limited multiple items. If you have already entered for the month and come up with something even better either submit your new find indicating that it replaces your previous entry OR you can enter your new Find in next months contest.

Not too many "Finds" so far this month?

Terry

Here let me help.

I found this extension speaker horn at the ReStore this week for $5.00 CDN or $3.70 USD.
I gave it a quick test with my Panasonic KX-T61610 though the External Paging Jack and dialing 33 from a phone hooked up to the PBX.  It worked.

Can you hear it. "Attention, Attention CRPF Members we need some Finds of the Month for March 2017. Thank You" ;)

Was that Loud and Clear Terry? LOL

AE_Collector

Yup, heard it all the way out here on the West Coast.

Dave Hunter heard it all the way on the East Coast as well. Now did any of our southern members hear it. LOL

Following up on my blue 500, Id like to nominate this rather dirty green 500 CD. Almost an all matching 12/66, dial and handset cord are 65, plus the original line cord was cut no less than three times and tied in a nice ball of sadness...so it was with the phone but a lost cause. Anyway....for ten dollars from a local estate sale this week, the phone and about three ponds of lint balls came home and shaped up quickly.

Oh and the number in the dial is mine. When im low or out of nice dial original cards i just write my number on some brown cardboard and punch out a circle. I find it looks good on dark colors/black.

Doug, it looks like you got play with your BK1045 as well as you KX-T61610. Nothing like having plenty of toys :)

Gary,

Some of those toys have been coming in handy lately. On February 10th I slipped on some ice and broke my left ankle. I've been off work. So I hobble out to the garage, turn the heat on and play telephone repairman. :)

oldguy

I understand Doug, 2 years ago I slipped on the ice in my driveway & broke my right ankle, defiantly limits your activity. I hope you heal quickly.

Quiet month this time around? Do I have to hunt down another deal to add some spice?   ;D

I'd like to (re-) nominate nolan613's pre-war (3/42) ivory 302 found on eBay listed for BIN $149 or Make-An-Offer. Seller accepted $95! plus shipping(?). More pictures were posted on the forum at this link:

NOTE:  The above discussion was originally posted in this board as a March nomination but moved to Auction Talk and re-nominated in this reply for nolan613, as he so intended to do.

nolan613

Appreciate that, still getting a handle posting... ::)

I am nominating my ivory North Galion purchased for $375 at the Southern California phone show.

I'll nominate my 1955 Western Electric 532 that I bought for $25 plus shipping. This phone came with non-matching 1958 Pink plastics that I consider an added bonus to a phone that will be returned to black factory condition.

It also came with a nice, dates-matching January 1966 Pink 500.
