Jan found a Bell System B box with cords and jacks etc inside. These are dated 64. What are they??  Doug

The 504A plug and 541A jack were used when you needed more than the 4 conductors maximum for the 505A  (or 283B) plug and 549A (or 404B) jack.

They were roughly replacements for the 8-conductor 392A jack and 274A plug.
