But is it lovely?

I saw this GTE advertising matchbook today on eBay.

Since the Bell System's marketing campaign for the Princess phone included the phrase, "It's little, it's lovely, it lights!" do you think someone in GTE got in trouble for this matchbook?

It makes one wonder why they left out "it's lovely."  Were they worried about copyright infringement, or did somebody at GTE think the phone was homely? ;)

My guess is that "It's Lovely" was left out because it wouldn't fit.  It would make the entire phrase two lines and something else would have to give.
The idea that a four-year degree is the only path to worthwhile knowledge is insane.

A princess from WE is smaller and lovely, while this, well it lights ;D

How about "It's Little, It's UGLY, It Lights!"

It actually lights considerably better than a Princess does.

My usual response is that AECo could have just cloned the Princess like everyone else did but instead they chose to design their own phone from the ground up giving us a completely different model to collect.
