I do not see any problems if the price is right. Is something the matter or missing?.Looks like an AE LPC8255 to me

I finally met up with the CL seller and got the phone. It is in very nice cosmetic shape. I am off until the New Year so I will put some time in it this week.

$50 amd 1.5 hours to get it and get home......Doug

The phone cleaned up really great and I have a chrome fingerwheel on it.

The bad is NOTHING is marked inside for L1 L2. Second pic has three screws with nothing attached but any combination does not bring DT to the phone. Handset is good as I brought DT to it directly and it receives and sends.

Anyone with any idea where to bring Dial Tone?....Doug

If my memory serves me from when I was building AE 90's, Terminals #8 & #11. I may be wrong, it's been a few years!

It worked on 8 and 11 on the payphone front which slips off. Dial tone and calls out.  ;D No transmission  :'(  Getting closer......thanks Harry ...Doug

Last time I played with an AE payphone .  I used a couple feet of  station wire to connect the lower and upper together. This made it a lot easier to keep track of what I was troubleshooting.

By using a jumper, it is easier to concentrate on what the circuit is doing. This also bypasses the "fingers" until you get the circuit figured out.
As a side note the "fingers" can get bent and out of alignment, with a jumper you are bypassing the fingers until you are ready to close it up.

thanks Jim...I'll give it a shot. Here is what it looks like so far, everything working but transmission...Doug
