Naked by design.  Checking the model number 921A20-106 in the chart (referenced above) shows it's Customer Trim Option I.  The customer can add any covering such as a wallpaper strip to match their decor.

That color, when used on the British Telecom Viscount, has been referred to as "Poison Green."  Also found on phones by RWT Elektrim (Poland) (I have one), and was used for a while by SC & ITT on 500 sets and their kin. 

That particular phone was designed so you could blend it in with your home decor.  Given the color of that example, I wonder how it would look in day-glow psychedelic paisleys...?

Hi Paul-

Yeah, that's a good 1970s psychedelic color pattern.

Though, paisley is a specific type of pattern that to my eyes looks like stylized micro-organisms.  Very characteristic of the period, and kinda' cute.
