Looking for a PC-223 adapter for an AE Speakerphone System PC-4A Speakerphone.....

I believe these are the same as the 82 type connector block used with the WE 4A speakerphone.

Oh, Me of Little Faith! Guess what I just found in one of the boxes of items from Don from a couple of years ago.  Not one, but two of the needed blocks! They were in the one box I had forgotten to check! They are of the Western variety, type 82, rather than AE, but should work the same as the two units are pretty well identical. The Western one is only a slightly different shape from the AE, and the AE Speaker and Transmitter plug in perfectly... So, if anyone else is looking for one of these, I do have a spare!

The little black box is a KS-21149L-4 ring cut-off option relay.  The cord from the speaker plugs in above it, and the cord from the transmitter unit plugs in below. AC Power attached to the two terminals on the left of the relay with short pieces of wire left on them..

The block will work with 6-button phones such as WE 565 or 2565. Speakerphone leads on those sets are the last 3 pairs (V-GN, V-BR, V-SL).

WE 10-button sets do require the 223-type adapter -- with separate cord going into the phone--  because those violet leads are used for line pickups in those sets.

Nothing like having what you need in the "stash". Those 82 type connectors are getting hard to find these days. I had to get creative with a 223 and 149b type box.

I do not see how a trimline modular handset connector adapter will work.I have both WE and PC 4A speakerphones and this adapter straddles the modular connector. You might be able to saw a section out pf a amp connector .Don't know what is inside though

Ha! Actually, no wonder you were puzzled - I accidentally posted this under the wrong topic, Robbie! As you can see below, I discovered two of the needed blocks for the Speakerphone in my own stash! I have moved it over to the post it was meant for. This post belonged here:
