That means that your phone is dangerous!  You had better get rid of it.  I will be happy to take it off your hands and send you something else in exchange ;D

Actually, mine does the same thing, even though it has a WE Princess type ringer instead of the proper AE ringer.  I wouldn't worry about it.

I had a 202 wired to a 500 base and it did the same thing I just bent the clapper arm a little until it didnt hit.

Thanks for the comments guys, I was scared it was incorrectly wired. I'm going to leave it as is. I kinda like it.  :)

I had the same issue once, someone on the lists told me how to fix it but I cannot recall for the life of me! It involved switching two wires ???
