Anyone see this?  The odd thing is it's FOR SALE on ebay! Personally I would prefer a rotary dial.

Interesting! Though announcing the death of the convential landline is still premature. She may be old and in bad health but she is still a kickin! They have been trying to pronounce her dead for years now, yet she is still around.

The average cellphone is in use for 18 months and then the majority of them end up in the landfill.  This is also an ecological & resource issue. 

There will never be as many surviving examples of those modern things as there are of our oldschool stuff. 

And those who keep their metallic landlines are more likely to survive the aftermath of natural disasters, which, over long spans of time, is an example of natural selection.
