Title: Post Office Telephones Manhole Sign
Post by: FABphones on October 14, 2020, 07:34:09 AM
Another oddity for the collection. This is the cast iron Post Office Telephones sign which would have originally been set into the concrete of a manhole cover. You can still see the fixings on the reverse.

Photos also show an example of how the casting would have been set, and examples of the later BT (British Telecom) versions.

Very nice! It's adding these unique pieces to our collections that sets them apart from others. :)
