Any Info? Automatic Electric telephone PART... DIAL Type 24....

Can anyone here help me identify this part?  Its automatic electric phone part.  I am a Western Electric guy, so this is out of my league.  Its really heavy in weight.  I picked it up at a sale.  Here are some pictures.....

I believe that the dial was intended to be a paper weight/sample

The little information I found on the net, said the same thing.  I also read it was a sample phone.  Odd, that they will make a paper weight...

didn't even know you were on CRPF!
One of the things that I noticed was that your dial doesn't seem to have the provision for the glass backing that Gary's (Goff) does. I have seen his.

Small world....I ve been on here for a while...very cool site.  I am going to list more items I found at estate sale.  Items that I am not to familiar with...Hope to have it up in a few days...
