I am waiting on the chips from ebay. Let's cross the finger.

Speaking of REN. Do you know or have link on how to measure REN of a phone? I google but no clear answer on how. Very complicated.

If I overload the REN what will happen? Will it damage my VoIP Tel Adaptor?

1: It is no easy way to measure the REN load.  The simplest way to get an approximately measurement is to hook up a WE 500 or another with a known 1 REN ringer and measure the milliamps.  The most accurate I have done is to get a ringer power source,  measure the voltage drop of a resistor in series with the ringer, and the drop over the ringer and use these numbers to calculate in hence of a reading on a known 1 REN ringer.

2: If you overload your ATA with some REN's it will tell you by a) some telephones will not ring, b) no telephones will ring or c) it works like you go off hook, and then on hook immediately.
3: It has not damaged my ATA's (Sipura/Linksys/Cisco pap2 or spa)
