Title: WE 2500DM
Post by: wds on March 18, 2017, 02:41:43 PM
Bought a red 2500 to use on my desk from ebay of course, and the mailman broke the line jack on the back of the phone.  Is there a cheap source for these parts?  I ordered a trimline wall phone a couple weeks ago, and had the same thing happen to it.  I know I could hard wire it, but I want it to look correct.

You're lucky that's all that got broke!  I would hard wire it until I got the right part.  I also would check to see if I had any jacks in somewhat better shape.

They are out there . . .

Here's 10 from Canada

     http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ten-10-New-Western-Electric-623D-Modular-Phone-Line-Cord-Jacks-for-500-2500-/162436252635

and 5 from a US seller

All in grey.

There are other sources of by the each but those are higher per jack.
