Title: 1980's HOSTAGEPHONE Series V
Post by: Haf on April 22, 2018, 03:05:11 PM
Last night at about 2 am my time I was the lucky winner (and only bidder) of this nice complete Hostagephone set. Seller was Samsonphones/Barry Huckeby and starting/winning bid was $100.
I've never seen one that complete with speakers, „throwphones“ in original bags etc.
Pictures are from the ebay auction.

I searched the web about informations, here is what I found so far:

http://www.hendonpub.com/tactical_response/articles/2012/1112/rescue_phone_s_new_quad_crisis_response_module

and

http://www.fcrpa.org/fcpd-historical-display/

Anybody here with further information or a manual?

Haf - Wow, super cool.  There is lots of interest these days in "being prepared" for all sorts of emergencies from earthquakes to EMG attacks to fires....   I think you now have some bragging rights - how many people have the "just in case" hostage phone set up???

So if ever beeing involved into a hostage situation and coincidently have my hostage phone with me, I can throw back a classic trimline to the police instead of  their modern phone .Yep, well prepared :)

Reading about negotiation techniques at the moment, see attached pdf.

There the costs for the Hostagephone series v is mentioned: $3500
