« on: February 17, 2014, 07:52:36 PM »
Not sure if these go with something or not. 1988 date on both. Anyone know?
Thanks!

The 2 white boxes appear to be multi-line adjuncts used with single line phones on a 1A2 Key System.  Beige AE phone is for 10A2 which is equivalent to 1A2.

Mo,

Obviously Poplar1 is right about the boxes, but if you don't remember, they could be used with a single wall phone. Bascially, so you would have a KSU wall phone.

I don't see a way to mount the white selector on the wall. You may be thinking of the 6040/6041 keys that were often used with single line wall phones. Also, there are wall phones with 6- and 10 buttons for use with a 1A2 Key Systems:

6040G was the predecessor to Mo's selectors:

The 6041 is the same as the 6040 except that it doesn't have the factory installed mounting cord.

You are right, poplar1. I thought you could hang those up, but I guess not.

This was a way of making 1A2 compatible with single line feature phones--for those who didn't think a 2565 with 4A speakerphone or a 2872 Touch-A-Matic offered enough. This adjunct probably worked without having to add A-lead control in the single line set--plug-'n'-play.

With the 6040/6041, you would need a set such as a 500M with A-lead control, or you can also rewire a 500D or other phone for A-lead control. Or wire the single line set in series with a 6B relay.
