Belgian Versian of the AE80?
« on: August 25, 2014, 05:58:53 PM »
I was searching the worldwide ebay today and spotted this lot of telephones in France. In the picture on the top right hand side, is a telephone that looks exactly like our AE80. It is definitely foreign because the rotary dial looks really different.I think
Automatic Electric did have a branch in Belgium? I have never seen one of these before! What do you all think? link:  http://tinyurl.com/oemh5l3

What makes you think it is Belgian? The phones are located in France.

The top left and bottom right phones do seem to be Belgian. The top left one has a Belgian dial label and that model was indeed produced in Belgium. Bottem right is an Atea design.

So is the Dutch T65. I believe that phone is Belgian because the type of dial looks just like this Belgian multiline phone. The dial looks exactly the same.  http://tinyurl.com/ovels5f

It is interesting that many phones from many countries end up in countries other than their country they were built in.

Ah, I see what you mean.

Well it seems to be a Belgian A66.
