I think this belongs here?

I made the same mistake a long time ago thinking it was a hack home brew project. Yes, may be hideous but it is actually a "Periscope" style phone by TeleConcepts.

paul-f has them posted on his site:

     http://www.paul-f.com/Teleconcepts.html

they are different but it was the 70s and they were different and there must have been a market. They show up on eBay every so often.

I would leave it. Nothing wrong at looking at a "good" hideous phone. :)

Leave it. I just replied so people can learn, as I did years ago about TeleConcept phones.

I left my post up around page 15 where I made the same call. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and profit is in the pocket of the company who sees a need and produces an item that sells well. And in some cases, really hideous phones are almost collectible since they are rare, as is this one. I haven't seen a Periscope on eBay of years.

More stuff seen online.

Haha, I've seen these around. Tacky as heck, and they seem to be "marketing" to very specific audiences. A blue jays fan looking for a rotary phone with blue jays colours? I'm not convinced.

I always sort of compared the TeleConcept phones with the ATC phones and wondered what the designers at TeleConcepts were smoking.....
