European phone ID
« on: September 27, 2015, 02:17:09 PM »
A co-working sent me these pics and wanted to know what kind of phone this is.  I see the name L.M. Ericsson on the side, which sounds familiar, but more particulars are wanted, such as model, country, era it hails from.

The idea that a four-year degree is the only path to worthwhile knowledge is insane.

The telephone is an Swedish Erisson 1920'ish Take a look here: http://tinyurl.com/o7crzwh  I would guess on this: http://tinyurl.com/pga3x3g It has been used in Norway by the Telco: A/S Kristiansunds Telefonselskap (The telco of the city of Kristiansund) (1894-1964 Nationalized in 1964, about 4000 subscribers)
The cords and plug seems original, and may even be more rare than the phone.  The 3 prongs may be used with the 2 close prongs for the line, and the 3rd for grounded ringing.  Should work in US but may draw around 2 REN.
