Saw it when  listed but did not follow it. Didn't read the description so never realized it was a phone related item.

Is the description right? Seller states the transmitter goes into the holder but if it's hands free, would that not be a receiver holder?

Seller Description:  " Up for bids is an incredible old telephone accessory from the estate of a long time telephone company employee. From the online patent data it looks like this was a hands free device. A candlestick phone would be installed in the base and the transmitter held in the hand-like cradle. It looks to be in good shape with some expected wear to the plating.  No bends, breaks or repairs. It stands about 17" tall when the arm is fully extended. Very interesting and unusual piece."
