I'm surprised you actually spent the time to repair the fingerwheel. I myself just go to oldphoneworks and buy the parts that I need.... can you use a 5 Volt USB adapter on it? that would be the easiest power supply to use...

Well, the fingerwheel was original, so I had to repair it.

Nope, I haven't tested it yet. The aesthetic restoration is done, but I still need to install the dial, and re-wire everything inside. Almost nothing that I removed was re-wired after I installed it. Besides, the last 4 inches of the line cord conductors are disintegrated beyond usability, so I'll have to move the strain relief and re-crimp the conductors.
