I agree--definitely a "NO" for me too.

Facebook has their own ridiculous set of rules that we would need to follow, along with the rules we have here. A Facebook group isn't designed for usage as a forum like, well, a forum would be. There's no moderation other than the the creator, and if the creator leaves the group or doesn't spend every waking moment checking replies, keeping everything in check gets pretty chaotic.

Dennis simply enlists several of us to help keep everything running smoothly. I think a Facebook connection would be wasted time.

Being that I am 41 and remember a time before Facebook came along. About anything that involves Facebook becomes negative with the exception of seeing family photos, it is mind numbing. After 2017 and seeing what transpired in many forms of social media, I'm not sure positives will ever outweigh the negative aspects I've seen.

What's wrong with face to face interaction? The internet was "supposed" to dispel myths and promote the truth in the world. I often shake my head and wonder how I ever though that would be possible in 1998 when I first used the internet.

All that said I think it would be a terrible idea to have a telephony Forum/Website have a Facebook page. It cheapens what this site represents.

I am glad this question was brought up. I do spend time on Facebook and there are some issues FB has that does not happen here. The posts/messages are not in true chronological order.  I like the format here much better. So my vote is no.

For the little bit I use Facebook....I just canít begin to figure it out. Trying to find sonething I looked at just 5 minutes ago is usually impossible. It doesnít lend itself very well to being a repository of info like the CRPF site currently does. Thatís not to say there couldnít be a version of CRPF over there but it doesnít sound as though anyone has much interest in making that happening!

My vote: No.

My rationale (probably echoed above, but I haven't read through every comment yet...)

I use Facebook for family/friend communications, but really hate it when groups or businesses mostly use their Facebook page.  Facebook wants you to login to see the content, then Facebook start "linking" you to that content.  I have no issue with this group, but for example, if I try to view a TV or Radio station on Facebook to see a news story, all of a sudden, Facebook seems to think I'm in [Buffalo], then starts showing me ads related to [Buffalo], then showing me content related to [Buffalo], and I have no plans (or often desire) to go to [Buffalo].

(Nothing against Buffalo - It's an inside joke with a friend of mine from Buffalo...)

There are already a couple of Facebook groups out there dedicated to phone collecting.  They are mostly geared towards answering questions from newbies and showing off stuff you bought.
