I have sold 3 of those in Colorado. All to the same guy.
When I have a yard sale, he usually stops to see if I have any more empty boxes.
It turns out he and his friends like to use them as marijuana stash boxes. The gasket helps keep the green smell in.
Medical and recreational marijuana are both legal in Colorado. Modern marijuana is very smelly.
