« on: October 08, 2018, 01:59:52 PM »
I've not seen one like this before.  It it was cheaper I'd be very tempted.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Münztelefon-altes-Münzer-Schlüssel-Telefon-Fernsprecher-Telephone-ORIGINAL-TOP/163301273128
The (Google translated) description reads:

For sale is a payphone with 4 keys and 2 groschen
The phone is in top condition (no rust, chips or scratches), everything else in ORIGINAL condition
It is from year of construction: 12.1964.
The phone is working properly.

Equates to approx $175.
I know what you mean and I'm very tempted, but the phone room (ok, it's the spare bedroom - there is a bed under all of my stuff - honest!!) is already overfull!

At least it is one for €100 here: https://goo.gl/HxrB2q

You may search for: Telefon Tln Mü 55b  or  Tischmünzer 55

This is something like "tabletop coin telephone"

These had a solder-able programming function of the 3 first digits so you could only call numbers starting on the first didgits selected when programming.  When the party answers, you slide the handle and the coin(s) drops and the transmitter is unblocked.
