Expermental telephone Document resource
« on: February 11, 2010, 06:58:16 PM »
Hello,
Below is an e-mail that I posted to the listservers. Anyone on the forum is welcome to participate.

I started a yahoo group "Telephone Document Drop Box" AKA "Drop box"
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/tele_doc_drop
as a place  to send Documents via yousendit.com . If you send your scans to
this group, then the various archives can host the documents and post a
link. A list of "new" documents and the host sites will be published monthly
(on the group and listservers).

Please join if you post, host, or download telephone documents.

Photo's, print ads, Tech info, collector compilations ect. are welcome and
will probably get hosted by a site (or 2...)

Note: This is not a discussion group, but a middleman for posting and
hosting telephone related info.

Please  pass this along to anyone that may be interested.
Let's try it out and see if it works.

Jim Stettler

I will also post the Monthyly "document lists to the forum.

Hello all,
There are already 9 members including some (known) telephone document junkies.
The first document is  a Comdial catalog from my scanning experiments and it has already been "tweaked" and hosted (by Remco). If you like documents please try this group and provide some feedback for improvements.

I posted some ATT photos  at the document drop box. Please join if you want to download.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/tele_doc_drop/

The drop box is an experiment as a central site  for posting and hosting. It is just a pass-thru site. Not a hosting or discussion  site. Please try it out and post any of your scans to it. please use yousendit (free) to post.

The theory of this site is as a telephone document clearinghouse for posting/hosting/downloading files.

Send any telephone files, even your first attempts. Remco is onboard with this site and he archives pretty much everything (and cleans it up).

Please give us a try.

I screwed up and forgot to convert the files to PDF. Please retry  with the new links.
Sorry about that,
Jim
