well, as I am making changes to my system and the individual phones... I am reminded of the ringing generator on my 20B2 power plant. How were these put to use? were they used for general ringing through a dedicated relay, or just for the intercom? I'm thinking of introducing it into my system but am not sure of how and am concerned about a unfused load. (even though I can add a fuse...) since the phone line already had a ringing voltage, what would one use this for? I can see using it for bell testing.... other then that I'm not sure. someone give me some insight into how these were used in a 1A1 or 1A2 system.

The incoming call on any line would trigger the common audible. The common audible could ring ringers if hooked up to a ringing generator or buzzers if the proper voltage power supply is used.

The cadence is from the interrupted in New KSUs such as 551. I'm not sure with the 1A how that was done. I haven't looked at those in years.
