Rotary Dial Repurposing

I got this for $20.00 and plan to replace the dial with a regular #8A Dial... what do you all think?

That is a programmer for a Dasa autodialer .If you convert it . do not loose the parts..they  are not easy to find today

I was able to find a beige unit being sold As-Is for $12.00... so once I get both units, I'll be able to put them together and see if it even works. the main unit is missing the power supply, but it looks like I can interface it with my 20B2 power supply. The whole unit will be interesting to play with as it is my first Magicall unit... I'm surprised they are so old.... dating back to the 1960's...
