Made in 1984, the box even proclaims that it's "Telephone Company Quality"!

It looks pretty good from the outside, but where the line cord attaches looks suspicious, and I can't tell if the bezel markings are molded or stamped.

HMM, the base looks identical to a WE 500, I wonder if we could get a picture under the hood, it might prove interesting :)

I think the bezel is injection  molded.
I think all 500's used injection dials,with the exception being the back painted bezels used on early sets and on some special order "painted" sets.

As far as Quality, I suspect D/P's 1948 500 is better made, but this set will still outlast anything made after 1990 or so.
