GPO house exchange system (H.E.S. 4) big, big set
« on: December 12, 2010, 06:20:49 PM »
This must be the biggest GPO set ever, apart from maybe the "crocodile phones".

Unique casing, as you can see.

40 quid all in, rare as hens teeth.

Now I have specifically instructed the seller as to how to package the phone, even with its block terminal, and that slight crack on the irreplaceable body.

Here's the info:

Here's the sellers pics:

What a beauty!
Hope it gets to you in one piece!

Me too!

If its broke I'll have to start digging through a landfill site in the hope of finding another!

The Royal Mail tried to deliver it Monday, nobody in, so picked it up at the local delivery office today (thats another story).

I expected it to be in bits but the seller had taken on my instructions and its all here in one piece.

The crack the seller referred to only extends from the corner of the button faceplate to the curve on the corner, barely noticeable, the fleck in the picture is a little gouge, or dimple, so a pretty nice rare set.

The dial is pretty slow, but its yet to thaw out. (as have I).

Now for a rewire...
