A good manual D mount find on eBay
« on: February 01, 2011, 03:26:46 PM »
In addition to an attractive buy-it-now price the listing suggested original finish. As far as I can tell, It does look like the original unworn finish. It had a rubber covered handset cord which I exchanged for a WECo cloth covered cord I had: and I added a number card.

Yes that is a VERY nice find !!!  Not that it matters, but is this an early or late D1 ?

I forget the year it was changed.  I think it was about 1932. Do others recall ?

Very nice, Chuck.  Will you be leaving it as a manual phone or do you plan to put a dial in it?

Chuck...don't touch it!!! Leave just the way it is, it is perfect. Something so cool about manual phones....Doug

Yeah, that is a good find. I agree, leave it alone. Looks like a seamless handset too! Nice!

I have some nice #4 dials, but I had not even thought of adding one to it. It will remain a manual.
