Caveat Emptor: 302 E-1 combo on eBay not a 37
« on: February 23, 2011, 08:43:41 PM »
I am not going to reveal the # because it is still current but it shouldn't be too hard to find.  The phone has an E-1 seamless handset and a metal base.  The base is later, the housing is also later, it does not feature the H-1 stamp on the outside but if you blow up the pic you can see the orange stamp on the inside near the cord.  Also seamless handsets were early, this one should have a seamed E-1.  And should not have a bullet transmitter.  It looks like a 302 with a 1940s base and an early seamless E-1.  I don't usually comment on current auctions but this one is a potential hazard for a novice looking for a 37.

$102.  Could have been worse.  May break even if it has a #4 dial.
