« on: February 27, 2009, 06:24:03 PM »
Thank you for your interest in Classic Rotary Phones, a very exciting and rewarding endeavor. The Classic Rotary Phones Forum is the best site anywhere for everything and anything telephonic, and even more. Once a member, you will have full access to the site's content along with the ability to post comments and questions.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When registering ( filling out the application ) to become a member of this forum,

YOU MUST SEND AN EMAIL TO THE FORUM ADMINISTRATOR as REQUIRED in STEP 6 below.

FAILURE to send the email MAY cause your application to be OVERLOOKED

YOU MUST SEND THE EMAIL TO BECOME A MEMBER OF THIS FORUM

Scroll down on this page for the Administrator's email link and a very good example of what to send.
This must be done, the email sent, for your application to be approved.
No exceptions allowed!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Register (Apply for Membership) in 6 simple steps.

1)  Go to the Registration Application page
2)  Read and acknowledge the site's Registration Agreement
3)  Enter the User Name and Password you want to use as a member
4)  Enter captcha letters and answer three simple application questions
5)  Click the Register button at the bottom of the form

After completing those 5 steps, you must

6)  Send a confirmatory email to the site's Administrator (see #6 below)

The 6 steps in detail:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1)  Click "Register" here or in the blue bar near the top left of the forum Home Page.

2)  Read the Registration Agreement. If you agree to the terms, click "I accept the terms of the agreement" at the bottom of the page. The Membership Application Form will appear.

3)  Enter the User Name you want to use on the forum, your Email Address and the Password you want to use. Check the box below your email address if you want to allow other members to contact you by way of email. Leave it blank to hide your email address from the membership.

4)  Finish the form by entering the captcha letters in the captcha box and answering the 3 simple anti-spam questions (this step is necessary to prevent spambots from registering)

5)  Complete the application by clicking the "Register" button at the bottom of the Application. By doing that, your membership application will be immediately sent to the site administrator for approval.

6)  Then, to confirm your application, you MUST SEND AN EMAIL to the site administrator at ClassicRotaryPhones@gmail.com stating the User Name used in the application and a short description of your intended activity on the forum. An example of this might be . . .

"Hi, I am interested in old telephones.  I currently own a "(telephonic item)" and would like to know more about it . . . "

It helps if you then add a little more information about your desire to be a member on the forum so that the administrator can determine if you have a legitimate intent with your membership. BE SURE TO INCLUDE THE USER  NAME YOU USED IN YOUR MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION IN YOUR EMAIL.

When your application is approved, you will receive a registration reply from the site administrator at the email address used in your application.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That's it, 6 easy steps to becoming a member of the Classic Rotary Phones Forum with full access to the forum, its content and the ability to post comments and questions.

Again, thank you for your interest in the Classic Rotary Phones Forum.  We look forward to having you as a member and your participation in the best classic telephone discussion site in the world!

Please Note: Almost always, registration applications are approved in a matter of hours, if not sooner, as long as the Registration Application form has been completed and submitted AND the introductory email has been sent to the Site Administrator at

There may be an occasion where it could take up to 24 hours. If a couple of days have passed by and you have not received a registration reply e-mail from the site administrator, please send another e-mail to the address above stating the lack of response. The site gets many requests from "spammers" which are summarily deleted. Without the accompanying e-mail as part of the registration process, there is no way to know if a registration application is legitimate or just another spammer. We hope you understand this problem and the need for both a registration application and a "confirmatory" email simultaneously.
