just won a beautiful western electric 2500,ebay item number 300911558573,photo when I receive it.

Nice, I need to stock up on those 2500's. Interesting thing is that phone was refurbeshed after the break up of ATT thats why it says ATT on the faceplate.

I'm sure it has the origional dial though..

Here's a couple of the eBay pics.     Looks like the heart of this one is a '58, refurbed with the late small round feet and modularized.   Sometimes I wonder what a Bell-refurbished phone was originally.   Certainly this one's original housing was soft plastic, whatever color it was.
