Maybe Bill C can confirm this, but the radiator on the car in Brinybay's second photo looks very Ford T-ish to me.

In one of my trips to the old district of Manila, I found this car. I don't know what model or make of this but surely it an old car. I just felt sad about it because as seen in the picture, the car is in state of despair. The owner just parked it outside his garage. The front grille is missing and the upholstered seats and sidings are all gone. It seems that the engines are still intact but we may never know if it would still run.

And while we're on the subject, can anybody identify the year and make of the vehicle in this picture?
I think it's a model T Ford. Built from 1908 to 1927.

That is Definately a Ford Model T, they changed very little, but this looks to be a mid-production one from the teens, likely just post WWI if I had to guess.  It's hard to tell from a b&w pic, earlier ones had brass radiators which this doesn't appear to be.  The other photo is harder to see, looks to be mid 30's of some sort about 33 to 38, but it's hard to tell with the car so covered.
I am a lineman for the county and I drive the main roads. Searchin' in the sun for another overload.  I hear you singin' in the wires, I can hear you through the whine, and the Witchita Lineman is still on the line.

Speaking of British cars, one of the few sports cars I actually like is the older Sunbeam Alpine.

But most of my fave British cars (like my fave American cars) are large cars... the bigger Humbers, Hillmans, Austins, Daimlers, etc.

Interesting picture.  Looks like they ran over a herd of elk at high speed.

I think my favorite would have to be a 60's Lincoln-Continental convertible.  Maybe it's the Kennedy association, or just that Mr. Douglas had one in "Green Acres"....but no other car influenced the design of 60's (and some 70's) cars than this model.  It's design was so crisp and clean, just after an era of excess and gaudy tailfins.  Plus the "suicide doors" just made the car.

Jim, that is a classic for sure.  When I was about ten my buddy's parents had a yellow one....I think it was a '63.  They carpooled in that car.  It was fun opening up those suicide doors to get in back.

The Presidential Limousine that Kennedy was in when he was shot in Dallas is currently at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Mi.

I love the Continental convertibles-definitely a favorite of mine.

I'm a huge Lincoln fan anyway, and that's what the whole immediate family drives(Mom has a Towncar, Dad has a recent vintage Continental, and I have an LS). The '60s Continentals are about as good as they got, though.

I've seen it several times at the Henry Ford.  I can't believe that after Kennedy was killed, the car was rebuilt with a permanent top and used by Johnson, Nixon, Ford, and Carter.  They should have put it away just as it was.  I couldn't imagine riding in that car knowing the crime of the century happened in it.
