For those of you interested....

I have just completed scanning the following documents:

AE 476-201-100 AE 120A Payphone size 4 MB

AE 476-201-101 AE 120B Payphone size 2.7 MB

These are from the GTE Coin Telephone Handbook, 1976

Much more scanning to do from the handbook, but these are the first two. These will be given to the TCI Document Repository when I am done, but if you need one of them desperately, email me and I will email you a copy. Please state which one you need.

Update: I have also just completed:

AE 476-202-100 AE Co. Prepay Paystations...

I still need to compress this one, but it is currently under 2 megs. It will be smaller when I compress it.

I should point out that with the exception of the Prepay Paystation doc, these are not the documents I scanned - these are addendums to it, but the ones I scanned cover different material...

Dave, did you ever have a chance to get these documents compressed and uploaded anywhere?

Did anyone on the forum get a copy of these practices from Dave?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It doesn't appear that they got uploaded to TCI Library.
If you did get  a copy of theses scans please post  them here and to the TCI library.
Thanks,
Jim

Aren't the documents for the 120A that you are seeking already in the TCI Library? https://www.telephonecollectors.info/index.php/browse/document-repository/gsps-gen-tel/476-coin-telephone-sets-and-associated-apparatus/13889-gtep-476-201-100-i5-aug78-120a-single-slot-coin-tel?highlight=WyI0NzYtMjAxLTEwMCJd
If it isn't the correct document or if the practice for the 120B is desired instead, a TCI member may make a request for someone to scan it and include it in the library.

A shorter search link leading to the BSP is:

https://www.telephonecollectors.info/index.php/search?q=gtep+476-201-100

I'll post a request on the TCI Email Group and post here if there is a reply.

I have a chance to buy a automatic electric pay phone for a very low price it has no keys. I also think it may be missing componemts but not sure.  Just wondering what the cost for key is for top half of phone. it looks to me that the vault may have been removed screws from inside the vault were sloted so they could be screwed into the vault. Back plate has a hole at least 5/8" centered on rear of vault area. I dont think there is a coin box in the vault. its hard to tell from photos. The other question when folks strip out componets from these payphones is it avery big expense to replace? I have never attempted to work on or convert a payphone to a home phone. I also assume that its difficult to make it operational for original use if even possible. i will try to send photos Any advice appreciated.
