I just got my first clear set earlier this year. A 2500 that I restored by removing the bit of yellowing it had in the housing, buffing it to a smooth shine (the face plate came out so clear it doesn't even look like there is one) and tracking down new cords.

To me the set wasn't complete unless I was able to find a handset and line cord that were transparent as well, but also that the individual colored wires in the cords also had to be transparent so I could see the metal conductors.

For me it was the little details that counted for this piece.

Beautiful results, almost glass like. Do you have any "before" pictures?

I didn't think to take before shots with this one. It was quite dusty and dirty when I got it.

A run through the dishwasher usually gets these sets pretty clean and rehydrates the plastic.
