Jim S. & all;

Just got a call from a man that says he has an NOS-in-the-original-WE-box CLEAR 500 that he wants to sell!  And it's an early version!! I cannot wait to see pics of it!

I will post as soon as I find out more.
The early version is soft plastic with a light gray handset cord. Good luck,
Jim S.

Duffy got a 1958 clear 500.  This is the from   "earliest" transparent 500 set production run. I think the next run of transparent 500's was around 1970. It is the "proper" clear 500 if you are trying to complete a collection of early "soft"  (tenite) 500 sets. A very nice find.

I think he is becoming a clear collector. I will let him post the photos.

Jim the title says "Clear Telephones" and I thought you wanted posts on clear phones.
But let me make this "clear" I will never catch up to your count!

I do have one more to show you. It is so clear, I had to cover it with a towel so you would know exactly where it is sitting.

Sorry Jim, But you did say I could post the photos. LOL

I picked up this 1982 Northern Telecom 2500 clear e-phone.

I was told these smoke tint e-sets were run after a very large order of e-phones. After the run   they  did the smoke tint run and gave one to each of the line workers.

That was the story I was told when I bought mine long ago.
