And of all the 400 odd London area exchanges it was the 1st to use Crossbar equipment.....

They must have had a right laugh pulling all them fuses and insulators out when cutting off the old system and cutting in the new, it looked like a bit of fun... :D

Thanks for the link to another very interesting video. Thank goodness the Telcos recorded these moments in time for us all to see! I enjoyed when the people of the Upminster Exchange  "got their collective chains yanked" when the cut-overs took place  :D
