Seller Listing Title:  "*RARE COLOR*  1955 WE Model 500 Mahogany Brown Desk Phone - Soft Plastic"
Condition:  "Used"
Condition Qualifier:  " - - - "

Listing Description:  "This phone is a rare early soft plastic Western Electric Model 500 from the 1950s.  The rarity relates to the color - "mahogany brown."  It also comes with an original brown line cord with 4-prong plug.  This phone is in nice shape cosmetically, but needs a general clean-up and restoration.  It would be a great project for this desirable collector piece.  With some simple modification this phone could be made to work with modern telephone services. This item is provided in as-is condition.  It is a vintage item and as such may contain scuffs, scratches, and wear.  While vintage telephones can typically be simply modified to work on modern telephone services, this may require purchase of additional cords, adapters, or other parts which are not provided with this item."

Shame they had to take such "good" photos...Shows all the scratches and nicks....

Dim lighting and a coat of Skin so soft is how you move phones, baby.
