I have this candlestick phone that's missing its bottom plate but can't figure out who manufactured it (no name on it - just says, what I assume is a serial number of 850250L on the transmitter faceplate).

Anyone able to identify it and what type/where to find the bottom plate for it?

It looks like a Stromberg-Carlson to me.  Are there any markings on the back of the transmitter cup?

No. There's nothing anywhere on the set except that serial number on the faceplate.

Stromberg Carlson used this general cosmetic design from about 1905 to at least 1936. There were several production changes along the way, including the method of attaching the bottom plate.

Check out the SC bulletins and catalogs in the TCI Library from 1905 - 1936.

Here is a detailed drawing from a 1936 bulletin  that may help...

That's definitely the schematic for the one I have. I guess mine is missing its hookswitch assembly as well. I never noticed because I never took the inner bottom plate off and looked up the stem. The circuitry of my other candlestick phones (Northern Electric) have all the circuitry inside the stem.

I'm sure a bottom plate shouldn't be too hard to find.
