Brass Candle post crapped, maybe double post???

Good evening, Friends.
Been dormant for a while.
Wanna shout out to a few friends...
DSK, Doug, Harry, Steve. and a few more.
Hope all is well with each of you!!!
I need some help with this Brass candle I got for $30
It has all of the potential, of a disaster.
That being said, I am painting it black, and making it look like something.
My problems are, well... chk this out.
My Dial, is not aligned right with the finger holes,  
And the top, What's that called, was manufactured well..poorly.
I can't fix this, so I need a replacement.
Anybody got one ?
I am not looking for museum quality, just something I can paint.
And is straight, and presentable.
Now, the dial..
Is Steve lookin on?
Can this be fixed?
I think this is a basic AE dial, not sure of model, but it works minus the bad alignment.
Wanna make this thing look a little better than I found it.
So I can present it as a starter candle.
Pics too big...
I can't show dial align so close your eyes and imagine what it looks like...
And how annoying it is when things don't align right!!!
What can I do here?
