New and not so new forum members are very welcome and encouraged to take a guess. There are no wrong guesses, just one lucky guess. No one knows the winning bid on any auction until it ends. However, it is important to get your guess in before someone else grabs your guess.

New guesses must be at least $15.00 away from any prior guess.

Everyone is entitled to one (1) guess revision as long as it is posted in a reply at least 24 hours prior to the eBay auction ending.

Seller Description:  "Vintage ITT Kellogg Cinderella duplex dial mobile  telephone.  The rotary dial sticks on return was made not to function."

This is started as a "special rules" no winner contest, the best guesser will not be included in the CRPF Auction Contest Hall of Fame or be counted in the CRPF Contest Standings as a win. This one is just for fun, but the best guesser will take a place in the Special Auction Contest Standings.

NOTE:  This appears to be a unique item even without the controller due to its color, manufacturer, model and controls provided - no one has ever seen one like this before and if they have, please post as a reply (replies) to this contest, create a discussion

( thanks to FABphones for starting a discussion topic for these types of phones including this one at:

)

so we all may learn more about it. I am guessing this is a somewhat rare item and as such more than a few collectors would like to have it on display in their collection. It's definitely not just scrap metal inside plastic so that's why it's a special auction contest object. As of 10 PM CDT on 7/5, there are 8 people watching this part of wireless telephone history.

So what is this thing, anyway?
It is  a car phone.
I think these were Radiotelephone technology.
It would of had more equipment located in the vehicle.

As noted in the contest set up above (initial topic post), FABphones created a topic to explain/discuss this phone and similar phones installed in automobiles, the first wireless telephones.

A PDF of the detailed documentation she linked to is attached to her post there.
