Deutsche Bundespost PrHap 3. "Prüfhandapparat" = Test handset. Made by Elmeg. Settings for pulse/tone dialing (IWV/MFV), polarity test, limited redial function. Metal bar on back serves as shoulder rest. Huge and heavy!
Earlier PrHap issue 1 and 2 were dial buttsets very similar to contemporary WE models and also made by Elmeg. This issue 3 was only made in a small number for field trial. It showed that the cord often failed and was not replaceable in field. Field techs were not supposed to even open their own test sets! I did it though... The final issue 3a which is similar then came more service friendly.
