Hello;

I purchased this Bell Canada 2 box telephone a while back and I am puzzled by the transmitter tag. I would appreciate if anyone can tell me any information on the transmitter type and the letter L.

I suspect the letter L may refer to "long distance" wall set.

Thank you in advance,
Ben

Don't know squat about it, but MAN that looks nice! ;D
even with the split... ;)

Thank you RB.
I have not done any work on this set yet. Although, there is not much to repair to be done other than the split you referred to.

That looks like a transmitter made by Monarch Mfg. Co. - The "L" prefix probably means local battery/magneto type telephone

Harry;

Thanks for noticing my toe. At the least I am getting as much feedback about my toe as I am about the phone.
