After the link is a series of wiki articles at TUHS (The UNIX Heritage Society) I am in the process of writing, concerning the various documentation streams of the operating system, complete with pictures of selections from my bookshelf to give a sense of the cover motifs and various publishing approaches involved.

Most of what I've filled out thus far concerns the Bell System period of the system's life, with the research, PWB/commercial, and CB-UNIX pages thus far having content.  I've got a few more pictures to write content around and some other stuff from around the web to still aggregate together, and then I intend to make another page about documents known to exist but thus far unseen.

If you see anything you know to be wrong or feel something bears including somewhere, let me know and I'll happily add it to those pages.  If you see something that seems like "hey, I have something kinda like that on my shelf that I forgot about" I'd be interested in talking, especially if whatever material that is predates 1983.  There are still many holes in the UNIX story and some may be filled not by searching in computery parts of the world, but telephony parts of the world.
