Title: Sun Faded Orange Doodle phone
Post by: electric al on April 04, 2015, 05:45:48 PM
Dumb question....    probably been asked many times:

Is there any way to restore color of a phone , which looks bleached by the sun ?

It is a Doodle phone and it is supposed to be orange in color , but the top of the phone and the top of the receiver are now an ugly flat almost

tan/brown color !

I will try to take a good picture and post it if it helps !

Any advice will be appreciated !

There are tons of messages here about that. Bleaching, sanding, peroxide, Retrobrite, chemical stripping, the list goes on & on........

First you need to take it all apart. You need all the plastics separated. This looks like a good candidate for a peroxide treatment. Search for Salon Care, or peroxide hair product .

Not sure if anyone has done an orange Northern Telecom phone - recommend using only the 20 volume H2O2 process, and keep an eye on it.

Keep us informed on the progress.
