Anyone have experience working of their BK precision machines?  I have model 1050

I think I blew out the ring function.  I press ring and it won't ring the phone. Everything else seems to work fine on the machine.

Any help would be appreciated!

Anyone have experience with repairing these units?

I think I blew out my ring out function when messing with a 302 with a vacuum tube on the ringer circuit.

Did you try another phone on the BK 1050?

It is a push/pull switch on the voltage potentiometer, this has caused problems for me.

Would you recommend I try some contact cleaner on the knob?

dsk

I have just did push pull exercises until it worked😄, but contact cleaner sounds worth to try.

Did you ever try another "known to be working" phone on the 1050 to see if it's the 1050 or the 302 that's not working?

I did try another phone, when that one didn't work I knew it wasn't a coincidence.  I then plugged my phones into a BT Link and they rang.  So definitely the BK is at fault.  I'm going to clean the switch tonight and see what I find.  I'll report back soon.

I just cleaned the switch best I could.  No luck there.  Before I start pulling boards looking for a blown capacitor or something.  Does anyone have a service manual? that might help diagnose.

There is a copy of the schematics on the forum:

Don't know if that will help you.

If anyone knows someone that repairs these units, send their information.  I would appreciate it.  This kind of repair is above my ability.
